About GalaActiveUk
GalaActiveUk — also written as Gala Active UK, GalaActive UK or Gala Active — is a community wellbeing group for older adults in Hyde and Tameside, Greater Manchester. Founded by Raymond Sensalire, GalaActiveUk brings people together through friendly community meet-ups, coffee mornings, quizzes, games and gentle community walks, with friendly check-in calls and keeping in touch so nobody is forgotten.
Our community activities help older adults across Hyde, Tameside and Greater Manchester keep up gentle physical activity and social connection, easing the loneliness and social isolation that so many people face later in life. Hyde Town Hall is one of the places we meet — a bright, warm and fully accessible hall in the heart of Hyde, Tameside, with a friendly face at the door to welcome you in.
GalaActiveUk brings its community meet-ups to a range of venues across Hyde — which may include Hyde Town Hall, the Grafton Centre and other local community venues — making activities accessible to people in different parts of the area. The venue for each meet-up is confirmed when you book.
